We’re excited to announce the release of ER/Studio 20.8, introducing a major breakthrough in data modeling: the new AI Modeling Assistant. This powerful new feature enables users to generate logical data models from natural language input—no technical expertise required.
With this release, ER/Studio becomes the first enterprise modeling platform to offer AI-driven model creation.
Users can now enter business requirements directly into a Model Prompt textbox, and the AI assistant will automatically generate a complete logical data model—including entities, attributes, relationships, and business terms.

This new capability dramatically reduces the time to first model, empowers non-technical users to participate in the modeling process, and allows data professionals to focus more on strategy and governance. The AI Modeling Assistant will be free to use through October 31st, 2025.
